Freight Shipping for Amazon FBA & E-Commerce

Ship inventory to Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS, and 3PL fulfillment centers with carriers who know the strict inbound requirements — so your freight gets accepted on the first attempt.

Amazon FBA

FBA Inbound Shipping Requirements

Amazon rejects shipments that don't meet their inbound requirements — no exceptions. Here's what we verify before every FBA delivery.

ARN (Amazon Reference Number)

Every inbound shipment must have a valid ARN. Without it, Amazon will refuse the delivery at the gate — no exceptions. We verify your ARN is active before dispatching a carrier.

Carrier Appointment (CARP)

Amazon uses the Carrier Appointment Request Portal (CARP) to schedule delivery windows. Late arrivals or no-shows result in penalties and rescheduling delays. We manage CARP scheduling to secure optimal delivery windows.

BOL Requirements

Amazon requires specific information on the Bill of Lading: ARN, PO numbers, piece count, and weight. Incomplete BOLs cause check-in delays and potential shipment rejection.

Floor-Loaded vs. Palletized

Amazon accepts both floor-loaded and palletized shipments, but requirements differ by fulfillment center. Some FCs only accept palletized freight. We confirm the receiving method before booking.

Pallet Standards

Amazon FBA Palletization Specs

Non-compliant pallets are the second most common reason for FBA shipment rejection. Here are the current requirements.

SpecificationRequirement

Delivery Scheduling

Appointment Scheduling & CARP

Amazon's Carrier Appointment Request Portal (CARP) controls delivery windows at every fulfillment center. Missing your appointment window means your carrier waits — sometimes hours, sometimes days — or gets turned away entirely.

We manage CARP scheduling as part of every FBA shipment. That means securing appointment windows that align with your inventory deadlines, monitoring for cancellations or reschedules, and confirming the carrier checks in on time.

During peak season (October through January), CARP slots fill up weeks in advance. We recommend planning FBA inbound shipments at least 2–3 weeks ahead during Q4 to secure optimal delivery windows.

3PL & Prep Center Coordination

Many e-commerce sellers use third-party logistics (3PL) providers and FBA prep centers to handle product preparation, labeling, and bundling before shipping to Amazon. We coordinate freight for the full chain.

Whether you need freight moved from your manufacturer to a prep center, from a prep center to an Amazon FC, or direct from factory to fulfillment center — we match you with carriers who understand multi-stop e-commerce logistics.

We also work with major 3PLs like ShipBob, Deliverr (now Shopify Fulfillment Network), and regional prep centers to ensure smooth handoffs and proper documentation at every stage.

Our Standards

E-Commerce Carrier Requirements

E-commerce fulfillment centers have zero tolerance for late, damaged, or non-compliant deliveries. We only dispatch carriers who meet these standards.

  • Experience delivering to Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS, or major 3PL facilities
  • On-time delivery record above 95% (verified through carrier scorecard data)
  • Liftgate capability for floor-loaded deliveries when required
  • Pallet jack or forklift on-board for palletized deliveries where no dock is available
  • Clean equipment — no contamination, odors, or damage that could affect inventory
  • Real-time tracking and proactive communication on delivery status
  • Familiarity with CARP check-in procedures and FC receiving protocols

Common Questions

E-Commerce Freight FAQs

Can you ship to any Amazon fulfillment center?

Yes. We deliver to all Amazon FC types — sortable, non-sortable, IXD (inbound cross-dock), and receive centers across the U.S. Each facility type has different receiving procedures, and we match carriers who are experienced with the specific FC your shipment is routed to.

What happens if my shipment is rejected at Amazon?

Rejections typically happen due to missing ARNs, incorrect labeling, or palletization issues. If a shipment is refused, the carrier must leave with the freight — resulting in redelivery fees and scheduling delays. We review all documentation and pallet specs before dispatch to prevent rejections.

Do you handle Walmart WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) shipments?

Yes. Walmart WFS has its own inbound requirements separate from Amazon FBA, including MABD (Must Arrive By Date) compliance, ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice) requirements, and specific labeling standards. We coordinate with carriers experienced in Walmart FC procedures.

Can you coordinate shipments to multiple fulfillment centers?

Yes. Amazon frequently splits inbound inventory across multiple FCs. We can coordinate multi-stop deliveries or dispatch separate carriers to each FC, depending on which approach optimizes cost and timing for your specific shipment plan.

What about 3PL and prep center shipments?

We ship to third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and FBA prep centers regularly. Whether you need freight moved from your manufacturer to a prep center, or from a prep center to an Amazon FC, we handle the full chain.

How far in advance should I book FBA freight?

We recommend booking at least 5–7 business days before your desired delivery date, especially during peak season (Q4). CARP appointment slots fill up quickly at high-volume FCs, and earlier booking gives us more flexibility to secure your preferred window.
